Bike racing has now become an everyday affair in the streets of Visakhapatnam. The most prominent areas where one can find young boys racing without any fear or second thought are Rushikonda and Telugu Thalli Flyover. While the posh and the lively RK Beach is also not spared from the same. Even during the night hours, the buzz of bike racers can be evidently witnessed. Seeing the menace of Bike racing in Visakhapatnam, the Police authorities have taken some strict actions.
The Visakhapatnam police have seized a total of 37 bikes that fall under the purview of illegal racing.
The authorities have also conducted surprise checks and took hold of some bikers while a few of them were identified with the help of CCTV coverage.
During this investigation, some of the bikers were only having a training license.
The police took action based on the complaint of illegal racing during the night time.
Mahesh Chandra Laddah, the Commissioner of Police Visakhapatnam, responded to the illegal Bike racing. The parents of the bikers have been called for the undertaking. Furthermore, the parents have been suggested not to allow their young boys to get involved in the Bike racing in Visakhapatnam.
