Visakhapatnam Airport has given us one more reason to flaunt over by grabbing the third position as per the assessment done by QCI-AAI. For those who are not familiar with QCI-AAI; it is a Quality Council of India which works under the Airport Authority of India. The assessment conducted by QCI-AAI was to gauge up the complete foothall range of passengers in the airports of India. Visakhapatnam Airport passed the test with 1.5 to 5 million of foothall of passengers.

The assessment was conducted by the authority during the end of 2018 in which thirty-four various airports have participated.
There are various parameters that are judged to gain the position, and some of them are listed below –
- Parking facility
- Trolley management
- Solid waste management
- Navigation facilities
- Restaurant facilities
- Check-in and check-out facilities
- Staff behaviour
- Baggage carts
- Waiting time inspection
It is just a short description of the parameters that are required to be fulfilled.
In the QCI-AAI assessment, Chandigarh Airport topped the chart with 83% while Visakhapatnam Airport acquired 78.9%. The second spot was missed by Visakhapatnam Airport by a slight margin as Mangalore Airport scored 79.5%.
